backarrow Plane from Busan: A Zombie Airport Halloween Event

October 28, 2017

It’s a Zombierrific Halloween at Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) as it launches the Plane from Busan: A Zombie Airport Halloween Event.

From Oct 28-31, a horde of zombies will give the passengers a delightful scare and tickle their funny bones with their funny antics as they roam around MCIA’s Departures and Arrivals Area.

"Plane From Busan," MCIA’s four-day Halloween cosplay event aims to entertain arriving and departing guests with a zombie themed activity. Passengers can interact with the cosplayers and have their photos taken while passing through Cebu’s friendliest gateway.

GMR MEGAWIDE Cebu Airport Corporation (GMCAC), the private operator managing the terminal and other related areas of MCIA, ensures to provide passengers a convenient and comfortable, as well as a fun and memorable travel experience, as they pass through Cebu Airport during the holiday.

"The All Souls and All Saints Day holiday is one of the peak travel seasons Mactan-Cebu International Airport anticipates. Besides providing our valued passengers a safe, efficient, and friendly airport experience, we would like to delight passengers as well," said GMCAC Creative and Brand Manager Giovanni Ruiz.

GMCAC took over operations of Mactan-Cebu International Airport on November 1, 2014. At the time, MCIA had only seven international and 23 domestic destinations.

The development of MCIA has been garnering positive attention from the international airport community. Last month, GMCAC and MCIA hosted the Global Airports Development (GAD) Asia Conference, the first airport development conference to be held in the Philippines. The event was attended by leaders in international airport finance and development.

In 2016, MCIA was named Best Regional Airport in Asia Pacific from the CAPA Center for Aviation. Earlier this year, it received a special Commendation for Excellence in Airline Marketing from Routes Asia.#
